Happy Graduation!
So. I graduate in like 2 days.
I know. It’s crazy.
I have a phone interview for a manager trainee position.
I know. That’s crazier!
I’d love a suit job. I really would. Ever since I saw Miss Deanna (who is now Mrs. Kieffer) in her sassy pantsuit at a wind ensemble concert, I wished I could pull it off like she can. And I do. It took a lot of work. I’m quite proud.
When I graduated high school, I wanted stuff for the dorm, to start a new life as a … well, a student. Towels. A new bet set. A mini fridge. But I’m an adult now.
And I want this stuff. (FYI this is an easy buying guide if you want to get me a grad gift and don’t know what to buy. I’ll make it super easy. Check this out.)
- A nice bag big enough for all my work things. (Example for $59)
- Maybe another big canvas bag for traveling work things. (Example for $45)
- Blazers of all kinds and colors. (Example for $85 but I don’t look good in pink.)
- A nice portfolio. (Couldn’t find an example I liked that wasn’t outrageously expensive.)
- And of course, I am female, in case you’ve forgotten, and females like jewelry for every occasion. (This girl in particular likes yoga-inspired jewelry and stones that have meaning.)
- And if you’re feeling particularly generous (or if you would like to make a contribution towards this item) I’m also in the market for an iMac with wireless mouse&keyboard and lots and lots of hard drive space. (Example, refurbished 21.5 inch screen, 4gb RAM, 1tb disk space.)
Party’s at the end of May. My sister’s graduating too, so she’ll want the towels and a microwave.
Congratulations to my fellow graduates. Don’t let the diploma fool you: there is still much work to be done.
